    POWER 107 "Cool Cash" Give-a-way Tomorrow - Power107 @ 12:30 pm CST

    Our POWER 107 "Cool Cash" Give-a-way scheduled for Friday, will be held tomorrow due to our girls going to World Series.  You still have time to register, but drawing will be held tomorrow at Noon instead of Friday at Noon.  A total of $225 will be given away this time.  Register today!  





    Yazoo City Dixie Girls Softball Team Goes to World Series - Power107 @ 11:07 am CST
    Yazoo City 11 & 12 Year Old Dixie Girls Softball team will leave tomorrow on their way to the World Series in Columbia County, Georgia.   They will play their first game Saturday morning at 9am against North Carolina, and win or lose, they will play again Sunday morning at 8am.  We're proud of our Team and wish them continued success as they compete in the World Series!   POWER 107 will broadcast the games "LIVE" from Columbia County for our listeners, so you can enjoy the games and root for the "HOME TEAM!"



    New Mississippi River Bridge To Open Saturday - Power107 @ 9:08 am CST

    The new Mississippi River Bridge is scheduled to open this Saturday, linking Greenville to Lake Village, Arkansas.  The $336 million dollar bridge brings safer travel to the Delta  and help close the economic gap and bring economic growth to the Delta.  The existing Humphreys Bridge will be demolished .

    FEMA, MEMA, SBA and the Yazoo Humanitarian Recovery Committee will be available for assistance to those affected by the storm on Wednesday, July 28th, 6:30 pm at the Mississippi Chemical Annex behind Ricks Memorial Library.  If you had storm damage and need assistance, please come to this meeting to meet with FEMA, MEMA, SBA and the Yazoo Humanitarian Recovery Committee.

    JA School Supply and Uniform Drive Saturday - Power107 @ 11:08 am CST
    The Yazoo City Junior Auxiliary will have their school supply and uniform drive this Saturday, July 31st, from 9am -12 Noon.  You can donate Saturday at Fred's, Dollar General, and Black's Fabric and Dept Store.  If you can't donate on Saturday, boxes will be left at these locations until school starts.    The Junior Auxiliary will collect all school supplies and uniforms and distribute them to the children.  For more information call 571-1034.    



    Yazoo 12 Year Old All Stars Lose to Canton All Stars - Power107 @ 11:04 am CST

    The Yazoo City 12 Year Old All Stars played their second game in the State Tournament last night against Canton Dixie Youth All Stars.  Yazoo City defeated Canton twice at Grove Park to win the North Regional Championship.   Yazoo lost their first game in State Tournament to Lawrence County by a score of 9-8 on Saturday, and lost to the Canton Dixie Youth last night 11-1.  With the loss to Canton, Yazoo City All Stars was eliminated from the State Tournament.  

    Congratulations to the boys on a great season and the Coaches, Mitchell Saxton, Randy Saxton, and Tommy Jackson for their hard work and dedication to Dixie Youth Baseball.

    Bake Sale Tomorrow in Sunflower Parking Lot - Power107 @ 9:31 am CST
    The Yazoo City Ponytails will have a bake sale tomorrow from 8am - Noon in the Sunflower Parking lot to help raise funds for their trip to the World Series next weekend in Georgia.  Lots of good food will be available!   Come out and support our Yazoo City Ponytails in their effort to raise money!



    Yazoo City 11 & 12 Year Old All Stars in Hattiesburg - Power107 @ 9:29 am CST
    The Yazoo City 11 & 12 Year Old All Stars will begin State Tournament Play tomorrow in Hattiesburg, MS.  The 11 Year Old All Stars will play the #3 Team out of the South, Pascagoula, at 6pm.  The 12 Year Old All Stars, the #1 team out of the North,  will play the #2 team out of the South, Lawrence County,  at 8pm.   Both Games will be broadcast live on POWER 107, but if you can, go out and support our youth and our Coaching Staff!
