Funeral Services for U.S Army Veteran,World War II, George James Guthrie, Sr., age 90 of Jackson, MS, who passed away on Saturday, February 4, 2012 at the G.V. Sonny Montgomery VA Medical Center in Jackson, will be Monday, February 6, 2012 at 1pm at Short Creek Baptist Church.  Burial will be in the Short Creek Cemetery.  Rev. O.D. Allen will officiate.   Visitation will be Monday, 11am - 1pm prior  to the Funeral at Short Creek Baptist Church.  George James Guthrie, Sr, was member of Alta Woods Baptist Church and an Insurance Salesman.  Stricklin King Funeral Home is handling the arrangements. 

Funeral Services for James Shannon Bennett, age 39 of Spokane, Washington, who passed away on January 29, 2012 at his residence, will be Saturday, February 4, 2012 at Stricklin King Funeral Home.  burial will be in the Glenwood Cemetery.   Rev. David Bryant will officiate.  Visitation will be Saturday, February 4, 2012 from 9:30 - 11:00 am prior to the funeral at 11am.   James Shannon Bennett was a Baptist and worked in Security.  Stricklin King Funeral Home is handling the arrangements.

Funeral services for James L. Porter, age 69 of Raymond, MS, who passed away on January 26, 2012 at his residence, will be Saturday, January 28, 2012 at 11am at Stricklin King Funeral Home.  Burial will be in the Midway Baptist Cemetery.  Rev. Jimmy Cresswell will officiate.  Visitation will be Saturday, January 28, 2012 from 10 - 11am at Stricklin King Funeral Home.   James L. Porter was a Baptist and a Farmer.  Stricklin King Funeral Home is handling the arrangements. 

Funeral Services for Gwendolyn A. Smith, age 51 of Vaughan, MS, who passed away on Wednesday, January 18, 2012 at Regency Hospital, will be Saturday, January 21, 2012 at 2pm at Stricklin King Funeral Home.  Visitation will be from 12:30 - 2pm prior to the service at 2pm.  Rev. David White will officiate.   Burial will be in the Black Jack Cemetery.  Gwendolyn Smith was a member of Black Jack Baptist Church, and a Homemaker.   Stricklin King Funeral Home is handling the arrangements for Gwendolyn Smith.  

Graveside funeral services for Juanita Young Stricklin, age 89 of Yazoo City, MS, who passed away on Tuesday, January 17, 2012, will be Thursday, January 19, 2012 at 11am at Glenwood Cemetery.  Juanita Young Stricklin was a Homemaker.  Stricklin King Funeral Home is in charge of arangements. 

Funeral Services for Jimmy Dale Pickens, age 67 of Yazoo City, who passed away on Monday, January 16, 2012 at St. Dominics Hospital, will be Wednesday, January 18, 2012, 11am at First Baptist Church.  Rev. Doug Broome will officiate.   Burial will be in the Glenwood Cemetery in Yazoo City.   Visitation will be Wednesday, January 18, 2012 from 9am - 11am at First Baptist Church, prior to the Funeral at 11am.  Jimmy Pickens was a member of First Baptist Church,  a  Farmer/Harvester, Agriculture, and a Navy Veteran.   Stricklin King funeral Home is handling the arrangements for Jimmy Dale Pickens.  

Funeral Services for Bobby Gene "Bob" Wallace, Jr., age 54 of Lexington, MS, who passed away on Wednesday, January 11, 2012 at his residence, will be Saturday, January 14, 2012 at First Baptist Church, Richland, MS. at 1pm.  Visitation will be Friday, January 13, 2012 from 5 - 7 pm at Stricklin King Chapel.  Burial will be in the Glenwood Cemetery in Richland, MS.  Bob Wallace, Jr. was a member of Harlan's Creek Baptist Church and Co-Owner of American Automotive. Stricklin King Funeral Home is handling the arrangements for Bob Wallace, Jr.   

Funeral Services for Annie Laura Alexander, age 100 of Vaughan, MS who passed away on January 5, 2012 at her residence, will be January 8, 2012 at Ellison United Methodist Church at 3pm.  Visitation will be Saturday, January 7, 2012 from 5 - 7 pm at Stricklin King Chapel.   Rev. David Schultz and Rev. George Butler will officiate.   Burial will be in the Ellison Cemetery.  Annie Laura Alexander was a member of the Ellison United Methodist Church and a Retired, Music Teacher.   Stricklin King Funeral is handling the arrangements.  

Funeral Services for Army  Veteran, Rayford Davis, age 86 of Yazoo City, who passed away on January 3, 2012, will be Friday, January 6, 2012 at 11am at Midway Baptist church .  Rev. Gene Richardson will officiate.  Burial will be in the Midway Baptist Cemetery.   Visitation will be Thursday, January 5, 2012, from 4 - 7 pm at Stricklin King Funeral home, and Friday, from 8am - 11am at Midway Baptist Church.  Rayford Davis was an Army Veteran and Retired from Yazoo Valley Electric.   Stricklin King Funeral Home is handling the arrangements for Rayford Davis. 

Funeral Services for Katherine J. Pierce, age 88 of Benton, MS., who passed away on Wednesday, December 28, 2011, at Northeast Medical Cemter, will be Tuesday, January 3, 2012, at 1pm at Bethany Baptist Church.  Visitation will be 11am - 1pm at the Church prior to the funeral at 1pm.  Burial will be in the Shiloh Cemetery in Yazoo County.  Rev. Bobby Baron will officiate.   Katherine J. Pierce was a member of Benton Baptist Church and a Homemaker.  Stricklin King Funeral Home is in handling the arrangements.
